The business had been destroyed by COVID, leaving the CTO with no choice but to make mass redundancies and decommission departments in preparation for the winding up of the business.

Our approach
Invigorate helped the CTO develop a plan to structure the process of winding down and making large parts of its workforce redundant. This allowed the business to down-size quickly without causing organisational chaos.
The team provided practical and emotional support and collected testimony from advisors who had gone through a similar process. The business was able to learn from these advisors’ experiences, allowing them to make the cuts in the most efficient and painless way possible.
The impact
Invigorate gave the CTO the support to feel confident making the staffing cuts. They were assisted all the way through the process, and carried it out successfully enough to maintain the support and goodwill of the business’s investors. They also maintained productive relationships with many of the redundant staff.
As a result, when the business recovered, they were able to start a new business and employed a few of those same team members.
